Voices from FSGS Patients
For patients who have FSGS, what do they think? How can we do something useful for them?
Patients A: My FSGS was detected early. I was 21 and I kept getting headaches every day all day. I made a same day appointment and to my surprise my blood pressure was high. This worried me because we all hear the stories about the damage it can create. As I was leaving the doctor ran out to where I was and told me my protein levels where high and I needed to see a specialist.. Even though I was ignorant to what a high protein level meant I knew it must have been serious. I felt fear.
I felt depression I didn't know what to expect. I thought it was a death sentence because everything I read and researched was so black and white. No hope of preventing further damage of reversing damage. With much prayer I released those fears and was determined to live my life no matter what the obstacles and this is why I can smile today.. it was so dark at one point I saw nothing but the worst but through my faith I have learned to live with this condition. I have bad days.
Patients B: I am so fearful of what be sometime's that is all I can think about hopefully my lab work results Thursday can give me some relief if not here I go again probably back into depression until I learn how to deal with this, beside other medical and physical problems I have.

For patients who have FSGS, when they diagnosis with FSGS, they may very worried about that. We should give them more love and care to them. Wish all the patients with FSGS can recover earlier! God bless all of you and have a great day tomorrow.
